Kryukov Canal was dug from the Admirtitle=”The painting Kryukov Canal was done in St. Petersburg. author’s technique by the artist Shishkin” alty Canal in the district of Labor to the Fontanka.
Originally excavated in 1719-1720 from the Neva to Sinks for transport purposes. Since 1738 – the modern name of the contractor named Semyon Kryukov. During the construction of the Annunciation of the bridge, passing through the area of Labor, was enclosed in a tube, which survives to this day.
Since 1830 Kryukov Canal was called and the section from Sinks to the Fontanka, and dug to create a water communication, but fell short of its destination. In 1801-1807 equipped granite embankments
